Yeah: get your son into another troop.
This scheme is so totally against the aims of Scouting that I seriously doubt
that you'll have much luck fighting it, since the people who conceived and
executed it obviously have no clue as to what the Scouting movement is for.
Thus, they won't understand what you'll be talking about.
If you do want to fight it, I'd get the DE and DC (minimally) involved, and
have them address the next Committee meeting.
Where's the Unit Commissioner, anyway? Surely he/she didn't agree to
