How to handle parents on outings? This reminds me of an incident back in
1980. It seems one of the ASM without kids in the troop got married to a
younger and nice looking lady. She started camping with the troop.
(Remember the time frame folks.) Some of the mothers in the committee
started to grumble. The SCM ended it all at a committee meeting by stating
all parents are welcome on their campouts, but they have to remember one
thing. When they are on a Scout outing, they are NOT MOM, HE IS and he
will not tolerate any disruption to this rule.
Things got quiet after that.

The requirements for Eagle are mostly trivial, any scout is capable. Doing
them is what is significant, because most people never finish what they start.
