Am I alone in questioning what is meant by " first aid kit " ?
I assume that the " Troop First Aid Kit " is something that is kept in a
central location for use by anybody in the event of an emergency. As such
it should NOT contain personal records , drugs or anything else that
could cause a problem in the hands of a Boy Scout.
I am also assuming that you will have a designated adult as " first aider
" who will have access to health forms etc. and who will have under lock
and key both a selection of " home remedies " and any prescription drugs
which kids are taking.
By limiting access you will avoid the risk of a kid going to one adult
for medication then shortly afterwards getting another dose because he
forgot / he's still got the headache/toothache/whatever.
