I would be real interested in getting a copy of whatever information
you received regarding the contracts for fund raising.
It is ironic that Glen posted that message, since I was appointed by
the committee last night to work on some type of point system/scout share
program for my troop. In the past we have taken a set amount of money and
divided it evenly to all the scouts in the troop for summer camp. I, along
with several others, thought that this was wrong. Another problem we run
into deals with the the "camperships" for those financially needy families.
Some people may say that I am being cold and unfeeling, but I have a problem
giving out money like that. I would much rather have the scouts earn the
money through a system that rewards them for attneding meetings, service
projects, camping trips, etc.
So what am I looking For??
I want to know of there are any troops out there that currently use
some type of system to divide monies to scouts for summer camp. What types
of guidelines do you have. Glen brought up a good point regarding forfieture
on monies. What happens to that money?
I will take any advice I can get. I too will summerize the information and
re-distribute it to those interested in getting a copy.
