Having been on the District Committee for a number of years, I have never
heard of a District keeping advancement records or in fact training records.
As the District Advancement Chairman, I do receive the red copies of
advancement forms and I keep those in a file folders by troop. I also
maintain the District Merit Badge Counselors list, but that is part of my
job. Usually such things as traing and advancement is kept at the Council
level on software provided by National. Why duplicate the effort? If you
need advancement info all you have to do is ask your local council for a
report on a given troop or boy.
Oooops, I missed the part of your message about posting privately. Sorry!
