Many ions ago (1964), I served on the World Fair Service Corp at the New York
World's Fair. Groups from different councils were brought in for a one week
stint and housed at Ft. Hamilton (I beleive). We demonstrated CPR and knot
tying, ran campfires every night, and as needed acted as guides and honor
guard for various events/dignitaries.
As far as I know this went on for the whole two years that the fair was open.
We manned an exhibit sponsored by national. It was not only a great
experience for us, but great exposure for the BSA.
I would think the exhibit your talking about would accomplish the same goals
and encourage you to do so.
