Ken, most of our work towards the woodworking part of craftsman resulted
incidentally from doing projects to help the entire Pack, rather than as
a result of planning to work on the craftsman pin. For instance, building
display stands for Pack projects, building a box hockey game for the
entire Pack to play, building a small footbridge as a service project,
things like that. We count work done together on projects as well as
individual things they make to have something to take home and show for
their efforts. Our Pack has been invited to come do a project at the
building site of a Pack members future home. We really enjoy doing these
kind of projects since they help reinforce some of the other Scouting
lessons like helping other people.
