I just recently returned from Philmont and wore contacts for the first time.
I normally wear the disposable lenses on a daily basis, but my doctor gave
me premission to wear them on an extended basis. I did not have any
problems. I took along my glasses as well as two bottles of rewetting drops
just in case. There was one person with our group who wore his on a daily
basis. He did not have any trouble either. If you take them off at night
just stick the case into a sock and place the sock into your boots and the
bears should not mess with them.
