I JUST now - used to be an Owl !
I was also very annoyed by the raccoon 'ghost' that got into our
trash bag, and rolled about until 'snooring' scared him away.
Also that rotten blue herron that flew down into the creek next to
our final patrol campfire. Don't those animals have any common
ettiquett? And the constant clatter in the pines of the red
squirels as the dropped pine cones all over our classes. (I
think I may have heard them snickering)
But the sky in Buffalo NY area was paled in comparison to the
nights just spent in Grand Tetons and rocky mountain parks.
Stars we SO bright, I had to sleep with my face under my sleeping
You just don't get the same effect on TV or video. . .
Of course the worst part is now, I am also the Permanent Owl
patrol leader. Some friend I have in scouting? ;)
Scouter Don Izard,
NOW I used to be and Owl (at long last)
