I see no problem in having them on the same date and I do not believe that it
will take away from the experience.
Our Troop's Eagle Scout Ceremony allows for multiple recipients, because we
have had multiple recipients (up to eight at once). The closest we have had
two Eagle Ceremonies is 4 months apart. We usually schedule the ceremonies
based on when we get the Eagle papers to returned from nationals (in our
hands). It might complicate things if you plan based on estimated return of
Eagle paperwork. We did this once and had to cancel because paperwork got lost
in the mail coming back from Nationals. Very embarrassing for Troop and the
I personally received my Eagle at a multiple presentation an will never forget
it ... very, very memorable. To make things more complicated, one of the other
Eagle recipients was my brother (two years older than me) ... but neither of us
would have done it differently if we had to do it again.
Just my two cents worth ... (which means not necessarily the status quo <grin>)
