I would like to say that I, personally, have no objection to allowing girls
in the B.S.A (have to change the name, wouldn't we). However, I'd have
strong objections to making any substantial change in the program activities.
Some girls are not going to look forward to a week in the woods with no
electricity or flush toilets (at least, judging from the reactions of some of
the mothers that go up to Cub Scout Adventure Camp), while others would love
it (at least, judging from the reactions of some of the mothers that go up to
Cub Scout Adventure Camp).
I'd be inclined to welcome girls who are attracted to the program as it is
(like my daughter, for example).
