I reposted the message as I got a second reject frorm the server. My
APLOGIES as it seems to have gotten through despite the reject message.
The Cub Pack has now returned from Camp and I have now spoken with the
Committee Chair who is also our Chartered Org Rep. He said that my son was
turned away because there were no "facilities" for Scouts. (Their campsite
was half empty) and there had been some mention that my son had caused some
sort of problem for the staff last year. When the CC asked what these were
and why he was not told as he was in charge of the Pack contngent last year
and pointed out that he must have been a big problem as he was rehired as
camp staff again this year there was no answer and no details forthcoming.
Evidently the Chair also said that if an active Eagle Scout who is a staff
member is not good enough, who is? No answer to that one either.
We plan on going up to see the Council Exec not because it was my son but
because this is a program change both the Pack and the Troop want. We want
the Pack to have the ability to have a member of the Troop or a Den Chief
to have the ability to go to Cub Camp in the future to provide a role model
and a bridge.
