My husband (David) and I are active scouters. David is the scoutmaster of a
small troop to which my younger son (Evan-12.5) belongs. David just
completed his Woodbadge ticket (he is an owl) and will be getting his beads
Evan is a Star scout. He went to summer camp at Camp Daniel Boone in NC and
then spent 2 weeks as staff at Camp Lone Oak in Fl.
Brad (16) is a life scout and is completely ready for Eagle except for his
project. He is the SPL of a large troop (not his father's) that has more
high adventure activities than the smaller troop (which he was in) could
offer him. He is active in OA and is on the LEC and is helping to run the
trading post at the next section conf that will be held at our local camp in
April 96. He has been to National Jamboree, NOAC, and just returned from
London and Holland where he attended World Jamboree. He has been to resident
camp every summer since crossing over to scouts.
David also runs our local Cub Day Camp each year and both the boys help
I am on the committee of both troops but I am more active in Brad's troop.
As you can see we are a scouting family.
