Yes, ALL registered leaders get Scouting. But you DO need to be
Everyone has a "primary registration" and should be the one YOU want
and pay your annual fee in; all others are multiple, will not receive
any "special" mailings (if any) for the multiled positions.
Most people assume they are registered because they paid their fee;
most boys' parents think the same thing once they complete an appl.
and pay a fee. BUT in reality, it is many times not forwarded to the
local council for registration, in a timely manner.
Also----- it is essential to note that Popcorn Kernal (as many others)
is NOT a registered position in any case at any time. DEATH to any
unit is not involving enough volunteers; while the biggest danger is
"one man(or couple) shows." Thus, we have always only given you ONE
registration PER unit.
I am, for instance currently registered as:
*CS pack committee chairman
BS committee member - in two different troops
VC of Membership/Relationships - *District Committee
Council board member.
The positions starred are the positions I pay full annual registration
for, because I want any and all mailings from nat'l, region, local
council. However, it is MY choice, and none are in the same unit.
A quick word regarding Chartered Org. Representative registration.
They are the ONLY people who can register on the same unit in two
positions, BUT ------ I repeat ----- BUT --- the dual registration
must be 1) as CR (chartered org. rep. which is listed on the charter)
and MC (member of unit committee, including it's chairman). They may
NOT register as a leader of any sort. Think about it --- a liason
must keep a "balance" between unit and org, and that WOULD be
difficult if the unit meant YOU as the CM of SM!
