At our Summer Camp the swimming instructor dropped his radio tranceiver in
the pool - and it didn't pass the swim test. Fortunately one of the Leaders
is a radio technician , so he took it apart, cleaned it with sterile
water from the medic (to remove to chlorine) then borrowed a hairdryer
from one of the Boy Scouts on staff to dry it out. It worked. So I
guess that is why you need a hairdryer on camp.
