A suggestion, get troop activity shirts. This can(won't promise) build up
Troop and patrol moral when you have a less formal and more comforting shirt
@ Quivira Scout Ranch we staff members had a very unbareable
summer as far as heat went. Every Sunday and Friday we had to wear class As
and it was hot!!! One of the weeks it got up aroung 120 degrees or so (not
liing). It got so hot I lost all but two of my snakes I caught that summer
for the Nature area. Anyway, after that our program director decided that
things were getting a bit heated up, so to cool us down, he ordered us to
discard the class A for the rest of the summer. Instead, we wore our staff
polos. Things got cooler for us, and we stood out better amongst the scouts.
I also would like to make a pt. here that I am more impressed
with troops that make it a point that all the scouts(ers) wear the troop
shirt. They look better and appear to have more self and group pride.
I hope that helps.
Just because I flip burgers doesn't mean I know it all!!!
