I have read on this subject of many opinions and minds. This is what I
1. The boy is first-I believe the boy is always different and must be handled
differently in every case. The work to one boy may not be enough for another
boy( or visa vera)
2.The requirements set by BSA or to easy. I myself an Eagle, can say this.
I know that I have just taken a 180 on what I said above, but it's the
truth. Eagle needs to be EARNED(not shouting just making it clear)!! I do
not understand why the requirements get easier to fulfill as time goes on.
I here the horror stories of when if you wanted to do Soil & Water
Conservation Merit Badge, you had to do hours of work. I wish that type of
work would be brought back. I myself wish I had gone through it now that I'm
an adult and can see the advantages of what that could have done for me. I'm
only 19 (09/01/95).
Just because I flip burgers doesn't mean I know it all
