In the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape school (SERE) run by
the U.S. Navy, the instructors emphasize that survival is about 85%
sheer will to live, 10% the wilderness survival knowledge you have, and
only 5% the survival equipment you have with you. Of course, sometimes
that 5% is the edge that lets one survive...
