>How do you find north with a digital watch?
1: Draw a picture of an analog watch face. Use the digital watch to find
out what time it is, and draw an hour hand pointing to the correct hour.
Point the hour hand at the sun. Halfway between the hour hand and the 12:00
position is North.
2: Drive a stick into the ground, pointed at the sun, so that it does not
cast a shadow. Use the watch to time 1 hour. At the end of the hour, look
at the shadow cast by the stick. It points East.
3: Easiest method of all: find someone who has a compass. Say, "I'll give
you this neat-o digital watch if you tell me which way is north."
