Walt, I will be going with my troop in a couple of weeks to the
Bahamas adventure program. We are really looking forward to it.
We did the mariner sailing program a couple of years ago, and
thought it was great. The mariner program is not offered anymore,
which is too bad. Each crew was provided with 2 25' sailboats and
a guide. I think it was the cost of maintaining the boats that
made them switch to the coral reef.
When we were there a fews years back, we flew into Miami and then
rented a van from avis. We were able to drop the van in Marathon
and seabase shuttled us back. For the return we rented in
Marathon and dropped off in Miami. Avis did not charge for the
