Please be sure of your facts before posting this kind of statement.
Chlorine used for water purification by municipalities is not bleech. It is
chlorine gas which is bubbled into the water to be dissolved. They use less
now because chlorine gas is tremendously toxic if released to the atmosphere
and breathed. Also there have been a lot of studies showing that the level
of chlorine needed to kill fecal coliform bacteria is much lower than
originally thought. It forms acid when dissolved in water, HCl. Bleech is
sodium hypochloride. It does not have the same ion when dissolved in water.
If one has been linked to cancer, that doesn't imply that the other is
linked to cancer.
Different chemical compounds behave differently once reacted. If you don't
believe this, try putting iron filings in a container with sulfur powder.
The iron can be seperated from the sulfur with a magnet. Try heating the
iron and sulfur mixture over a flame till you see some smoking. Then try to
seperate the mixture with a magnet. It won't seperate because the iron is
no longer iron. It will be iron sulfide which is a totally different
