Great Philmont trip report. Wish I could go some time.
The crew is not likely to be able to keep an advisor with a heart attack
alive. Requires too much technology.
My mother was hiking in the Wind River Mountains 20 years ago with a group
that was spread out from
kingdom to kingdom come. She zigged when she should've zagged. Wasn't
noticed missing for 6 hours or so (late arrivers figured she'd departed
in another car). Found her 5 days later. She didn't backpack after that.
STAY TOGETHER ON THE TRAIL. 'nuf said.
