Ladies and Gentlemen;
I realize that I haven't been a very active participant in the lively
discussions on this wonderful list, BUT I am doing a lot of reading and most
of all learning. You folks are great, to say the least.
I have copies pages of information to take to summer camp to read in my
"spare" time. Also, I will let the SM do some reading (I am the CC). We
share alot of the same ideas and values. Amazing, isn't it. :-)
Anyway, we are going to a different camp this year. Camp Chickahominy near
Williamsburg, VA. Our SM must be a prophet as he chose not to go the NCAC
camp of Goshen this year!! We are all looking forward to the "new" camp.
The camp offers a tour of several of the historical cities in the area.
This leads to the Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge. As I get older,
the more interestering history gets, so I will be taking the tour also.
About half of our Scouts will be participating in the Powhatan Program for
first year Scouts. The rest will be working on the usual summer camp MBs
and the other adults--well one may even learn to swim. And a lot of coffee
will be consumed.
Guess I am trying to say is so long for now. I will miss you all--even for
just a week.
See you late, Gator--After a while, dile.
A Scout is Reverent--Make it a Godly day and week.
