I was sorry to read that your troop has chosen to hide behind a false BSA
policy. The correct information is that women must have separate sleeping
quarters. If your husband were to attend camp you would be able to share
quarters with him.
You mention that "the spouses that stay at home" want this policy (of no
women) Does your husband (if you're married) want that policy or are they
referring to the wives of the other adult leaders who want this policy.
It's time to replace the Committee Chair with someone who is living in the
90's. Let your Committee Chair know that you feel that this policy is
teaching your scouts a poor lesson that women are second class citizens and
cannot be trusted with men in a mixed setting without creating a sexual
