Okay, I'll admit it, I've been lurking around for about a month. I've been
corresponding with a few Scouters. Also, accidently sent a private reply to
all (I was very tired :-( ). Sorry about that......
I am the Cubmaster for Pack 168 in Presque Isle, ME. I "got" the job this
past January, as the former Cubmaster was burning out and nobody else
volunteered. I was afraid the Pack would be deactivated and my older son was
4 months away from earning his Arrow of Light and graduating into Boy Scouts
(I cried when I did the ceremony. Boy, did it embarass him).
I've been somewhat involved ever since my older son, Ian age 11, was in
Tigers. He told me back then that he wanted to make Eagle and after his
earning all 20 Webelos Activity pins, 5 Sports Pins and 2 Academic Pins, I
think he has a chance at it.
I was the Tiger Cub Coach for the Pack in '92--'93 (when my husband Jim was
ACM) and again in '94-'95.
Our other son, Noel age 7, graduated from Tigers into Bobcat/Wolf and is
going with me to Cub Scout Resident Camp in two weeks.
My husband Jim is a District Member at Large for our district, Northstar
District, Katahdin Area Council.
I'm off to church residence camp on Saturday. The following weekend, Ian is
off to Boy Scout Camp for the week. Then Noel and I go to Cub Scout Camp
(same place) the day after Ian is done. Then when we're done, Jim goes in
I'll be setting No Mail (hopefully correctly) then I'll be back on August
5th. I'm getting a lot of useful information and a lot of new friends.
