This week has been one of mixed emotions! You may remember that my Dad died in
early June. Well, his brother decided to move to a flat from the house they
shared for 23 years. My brother, Bob & I moved him in on Tuesday. His attitude
was very positive. Friends just a short walk away, shops and good facilities
not more than 2 mins walk etc. On Thursday I got a call at work. He had died in
his sleep. Friends, the bottom fell out of my world. He wasn't just an uncle
but a second Dad. So my brother & I go through it all again now we have lost my
Dad, Bob(snr) and Basil. A prayer of support would be appreciated for all of
our family members.
This Saturday (8th July) we had our Group AGM. I was presented with my
Woodbadge, as the sig line will proudly show. We officially "christened" the
Dutch Oven with a hot chocolate cheesecake (Devils Tooth Cheesecake). I had
lots of compliments and complaints.
LOVELY! DO THIS AGAIN! MORE PLEASE!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS ALL GONE!! DONT JUST STAND THERE MAKE ANOTHER!
A couple of the patrol leaders were asking where they could get a DO so I may
have to start an import business!
Thanks Tom & Ginger Turba for bringing it over to the UK and to all that have
supplied recipes. The only problem is that I've got to convert some to metric
so I'll have to try them all out (life is so hard).
