Your desire to dress in your GS uniform is fine. I can't address your
daughter as I don't know what GS "dress code" is. If it were my son, he would
wear this Cub or BSA uniform. Your husband should dress in a way that is
approporate for the award and location. There is nothing wrong with a coat
and tie. If the ECOH were being held outdoors, that might not be approporate
As far as a gift is concerned, do as you wish. There is no requirement for
one, nor do I feel one should be expected. If you feel strongly about giving
a gift, then perhaps several parents could get together and give him a
membership in the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA). But again, NO gift
