meeting is used for handbook advancement for the scouts who are not yet
first class, and a review of basic scout skills and in depth training for the
scouts who are 1st class and above. The second part of the meeting is used to
play a game. These games sometimes are part of our inter-patrol contest. The

One friday night each quarter is used as a merit badge night and the scouts
are able to work on a merit badge from the counselors within the troop.
Our outdoor program consists of one camping trip each month (last year we did
16 nights of camping) The camping locations vary with a large emphasis on
back country back pacing trips with patrol cooking.
We also do 2 cabins trips each year, one of which will have electricity and
the adults cook for the scouts.
Each month we have one or more day activities such as a five mile hike, CPR
training, swimming 3 x per year, and a day ski trip.
We end the year with 2 weeks at summer camp.
If you want to discuss this in depth, please e-mail me directly.
