Well I've been on the list for a while, so here's my intro.
As a youth I was in Cubs four years and Scouts two years. I am one of those
Second Class scouts that is now gung ho as an adult. I was arm-twisted into
taking my son's Webelos den by the other parents. After taking my leader
training, my wife volunteered to serve on the non-exsistent pack committee
and got some other parents to get involved. She has a Girl Scout troop of
about 24 girls, so it's not that she wasn't busy. Luckily the pack got
rejuvenated and has been going great guns since.
I had 100% OF my eligible guys advance to Webelos rank and also Arrow of
Light. I will be helping the new Webelos leaders plan their program for next
year. I have been lucky enough to take an adult training course at Philmont.
Trying to figure out how to get back before my son is old enough for a trek.
I moved along to become one of the ASMs for my son's troop and have just
returned from a week at Camp Woodruff in North Georgia. It's hard, but I am
learning to say, "Have you asked your SPL about that?"
Have really enjoyed all the hints, questions and dialogue on the list.
