I want to thank all of you for your participation and help. I could not
believe all the answers and help in these few days!
I need to make one or two things clearer. All fees discussed are for short
term (weekend) camps from Friday night to noon Sunday. The $15.00 fee is
broken out this way: $10.00 for food (cracker barrel-Friday night and four
meals) and $5.00 for camping fees, if necessary. If the camping fees are not
necessary, then the money goes into the checking account for emergencies and
unexpected expenses. We went on one trip that had an unexpected expense of
$100.00-150.00. This money came from this account. We also use it for
camping equipment, if necessary.
We do believe in and use the patrol method as much as possible. However, most
of the time, we have to make two patrols out of our four for camping. If we
didn't do that, Joe Scout would be cooking and washing every meal. Not much
I plan to use these replies you wonderful people are giving in our Committee
meeting next week. Hopefully we can come to some solution (agreement).
Happy Birthday America
