i see the situation slightly differently. I feel that the scouting experience
is a very positive one and should not be withheld because of poor performance
in school. If anything, staying in scouting may help the boy to mature and
therefore improve in school. Forgetting to put your name on homework sounds
more like a personality thing not necessarily a problem with intellegence.
Some children grow up faster than others and some are just naturally more
I know adults who no matter how many times they try, they forget to do
essential things, like remember their wedding anniversary.
