A year or so ago, we were forced to go rechartering all our units in
April. A few have managed not to comply yet, but there were still 149 units
to recharter in April. It was h**l. We are still trying to get the mess
straightened out and may drop double figures at the end of this month as
a result. Council took 6 weeks to dig out enough to tell us which units
had deficiencies. There is no time to get some corrected before the drop
date. I personally feel the units should be spread over the year as evenly
as possible. This system keeps a commissioner staff less stressed and in
practice. When you do it once a year you have many new people doing a pile
of work with no experience. The error rate mounts dramatically.
Just my thougths. We'll work with whatever schedule we are given.
