Joseph Davenport <firstname.lastname@example.org> posted a message about his
experience at a Scout-O-Rama where HIS UNIT HAD AN INTERNET DISPLAY.
I commented on his posting. For some reason a number of folks decided to
write to me and tell me why my unit didn't get a ribbon, etc.
PLEASE take the time to make sure you are responding to the person who
raised an issue, question, concern, etc. I don't mind a heated response
on something I've said or done, but it is a little bothersome to get a hot
foot over something another person said or did.
On the bright side, two of those responding had some constructive comments
and I've suggested that they share their thoughts with the list, others
privately. The constructive thoughts were that in many Councils Scout Show
judges count Scout participation very high on judging criteria. They felt
that it was possible in this case that judges many not have thought the
Scouts were participating enough or been aware of the participation.
