Our Troop has had a Scout serve in the elected position of Troop Librarian
since we started up 3 years ago. The position is an important one, building
organizational skills and responsibility in the Scout elected. We've never
even considered having an adult in this position.
The Troop is truly a Scout-run Troop, with the Scouts electing their leaders
and deciding what they want to accomplish as a Troop. The adult committee is
on hand to monitor the progress and make things happen that the Scouts have
requested (permits, transportation, etc.). How are other Troops handling
positions in the Troop like Librarian?
