My name is Bill Case and I'm a doctoral candidate in the
Baltimore Area Council's College of Commissioner Science. I'm trying to
prepare a book of fundraising projects other than those that require the
Scout to sell something. So many of our boys are "sold out" by sports
teams, Scout troops, School activities (band, theater), that they are
understandably less than enthusiastic about another fundraiser where they
have to sell something. There are lots of fundraisers out there that
don't require being a salesman: car washes, airplane washes, neighborhood
dog shows, and so on. I'll bet troops not only in other councils but in
other countries all have several really good fundraisers - and I'd I'd
appreciate it if you were to share them with me. If you'd like, you can
e-mail them to me at the address below, but I suspect that they'd be
pretty useful to many list subscribers.
Were you to make a suggestion, please include enough information
to allow someone not familier with the activity to host it. Suggest
prices if appropriate. If there are variations on a theme, please
include them. Thanks in advance.
