I've heard the same comment from our older scouts about why they quit
after making Eagle '...that the yunger scouts are very obnoxious...'
Yes, that may be true but the new Eagles forget that they were once
young and obnoxious. When they were young some older scout showed them
the way and helped them down the eagle path. Now that they are
Eagles, if they really want to BE a TRUE EAGLE, they have the duty and
responsibility to demonstrate what they have learned and show their
leadership in helping the younger scouts. Failure to do so shows that
they may have attained the rank but have not yet become true LEADERS.
Its like the corporate, political, or military worlds where there are
hoards of managers with degrees but precious few real leaders.
