I know the problem, my oldest boy finished his Eagle when he was 15 and went
on to earn 7 palms. Now my youngest who is now 16, is Life and only 4 MB's
and a project away from Eagle is not doing one thing. He is very active in
school with Debate, band, etc. and he has found girls, but hasn't really
started to drive yet, too bust to learn. He doesn't even go to troop
meetings anymore. It appears that he has lost interest and we just can't
seem to jump start him. And, that doesn't look too good for a district
advancement chairman :-(. I'm not even asking him anymore if he is going to
get his Eagle. I'm hoping that he sees the light and realises what Eagle can
mean later in life. The local paper had a real good article in the business
section on how business owners feel about Eagles. I showed it to him and it
didn't seem to enlighten him. Well that's my story.
