According to the Museum of Science in Boston, during their Electricity and
Lightning demo- no amount of "insulation" between you and the ground will
protect you from a strike. The other advice is good about removing yourself
from the danger areas first and dumping your back pack to avoid lightning -
but dont bet on your rubber sole shoes!!!!
