James D Engelbrecht asks:
>Craig Bond - What is the source of the quote? Its a great quote.
>Or are you a very eloquent scouter?
>"Anyone can count the seeds in an apple; only God can count the
>apples in a seed." Thought: Aren't you glad you're in an
>organization that plants and cultivates seeds?
No, Jim, I'm not an eloquent scouter, just a preacher's kid (PK)
who recognizes the beginning of a sermon when he sees one. And
I've used it as a DE at many Blue & Gold Banquets, Rotary
luncheons, Kiwanis breakfasts, etc., as an introduction to
recognizing or recruiting volunteer leaders.
I cannot find who wrote it; I saw it on a plaque at a craft fair
and to this day kick myself for not buying it. Instead I got one
for my wife that said "If you've come to see me, come on in; if
you've come to see my house, make an appointment."
I just love good quotes and cliches. They can convey a big thought
in a quick way and sometimes take the sting out of the message.
