Don't you feel bad? I know how ridiculous I feel when I activate
some emergency help and it wasn't really necessary. But what else
can you do when you feel like not having the medical qualification
to decide for good? So, a helicopter had to make flight... Remember
other people are using helicopters to fly on top of a mountain and
ski down; wasn't your use of a helicopter more appropriate?
I assume the adult you sent down explained what happened. The guy
at the other end of the phone deciding to send the helicopter had a
description of the case and could have calmed you down if it would
have been obvious that it wasn't necessary.
I don't have any more medical training then you have, so take this
with the necessary grain of salt: I believe a little head wound is no big
deal; however I wouldn't like a boy with a concussion walk a long
strenuous hike of two miles.
I believe you did the right thing. If you didn't do the right thing I
think you erred the way I like people to err.
