According to _Safety-Wise_, Program Standard 11 "Girl Scout Membership Pins
and Uniforms" says ". . .Although the wearing of the uniform is encouraged,
it should be clearly conveyed that the wearing of the uniform is not required
for participation in Girl Scouting."
The Standard Guidelines include:
"A. Members who do not own uniforms wear the Girl Scout membership pin
approproate for their age level.
B. Uniforms are not required for members to participate in Girl Scout
