Having posted now, I'll introduce myself.
I am Cheryl Singhal. My husband is Committee Chairman of BSA troop 763,
Wheaton Maryland. Our Scoutmaster is Keith Risely, and our Charter
partner is the Wheaton Lions Club.
I was in Girl Scouts a few months, years ago.
My husband was in Scouts in India in his youth.
Our son earned his Eagle and passed the BoR on 18 Apr 1995; we are
awaiting the final paperwork. He is OA, Brotherhood.
Troop 763 is small but diverse. We have Christians and Hindus, all three
major races, representing four cultural backgrounds.
Since I have time to read the newsgroup, I have subbed. I pick out those
messages I think have strong relevance to our troop and pass them on to
the SM and the CC. The OPINIONS I express here, however, belong to me
(unless as Tom Lehrer said, someone objects in which event I am fully
prepared to deny having had it. <G>)
If any of you know of any former Troop 763 members, please have them
e-mail me as we are working on a 30th anniversary observance.
And, if any of you in the DC area know of campsites popular with your
troops, we're interested in new possibilities.
Thank you, and sorry this took so much space.
