Removing Scouts from OA El .

I don't like the idea of embarassing the scout by publicly
announcing that even though he meets the minimum
requierments, he is not eligible. I feel that publicly
humiliates him and I wouldn't want that happening to
me or one of my boys.
In the one instance several years ago where we had a
scout eligible who clearly should not have been eligible,
we simply decided not to count the votes for that scout
since it would really have no impact on the election of
the other scouts.
It turned out that it really didn't matter. The scouts in
the troop saw him the same way the leadership did and
I think he only received 2 votes out of 20.
Once again, the scouts showed their insight and maturity
and selected the appropriate candidates.
