Hi everyone, I'm Steve Estefan (no relation to Gloria) <G>. I hail from
Columbus, Ohio. Anyway, I'm Den Leader of a Wolf Den, Pack 445 Buckeye
District, Simon-Kenton Council.
Went through Cub Scouting as a kid and attained First Class in Boy Scouts
just before we moved. Unfortunately, scouting wasn't as popular in our
new area back then and everything sort of went by the wayside.
Now my son Kevin, who started as a Tiger and is about to earn his Wolf
Badge. And is enjoying every minute of it. I decided to become a Den
Leader primarily because I had many memorable experiences in scouting and
I noticed a lack of enthusiastic leadership in our Pack. It wasn't
anything like I remembered. I wanted it to be as much fun for Kevin as it
was for me.
Since taking the den in September, we have had darn near 100%
participation in all of our den activities. I've noticed other Dens run
about 30-50% at best. This isn't due to any special talents on my part
but I believe is a result of a tremendous group of parents who care about
the program and want it to be successful. The point is that parents are
an integral part.
I look forward to sharing ideas and ideals with all of you. Thanks for
