May be where your Council told you to place it, but the BSA was *real
specific* about where the JLT patch went.
The Junior Leader Training patch, from the late 50s through 1970, went
six inches above the left shoulder cuff (remember on the right side,
went up to six merit badges). After the 1971 change in design to a
shield, the patch became and still is a temporary patch which goes on
the center of the right pocket.
