split files on AOL

The only way I know to solve that problem is to
save each of the files into a numbered txt file
using the file option on AOL.
Next, open a document in Word (or other text processor
that allows very large files, (Write and Notepad don't allow
large enough files usually)
Insert each of the split and numbered txt files into the
document in order.
Next, edit out all of the header info, etc so that the file
is one long continuous file of uuencoded giberish.
Save this file as text only, I use the extension uue so I
remember it's uu encoded.
Next, uudecode the file using wincode or other uudecoder.
If you did the above right, you will get a clean decode. If not,
try again. It's real easy to make an editing mistake with lots
of files, sometimes it takes me 3 or 4 tries to get it right.
After a successful decode, unzip the files as usual.
That feature of AOL is one of the reasons I'm dropping AOL and
going with a regular provider with real internet mail services.
