change in status of roundtable staff

Hold on to your hats, roundtable staff. I found out last night from
our district roundtable commissioner that RT staff members are no
longer considered commissioners, i.e., they are no longer considered
to be district scouters. This has come down from national, apparently.
This means that those of you on roundtable staff in your districts can
no longer wear the gray epaulet tabs, as you are no longer district
scouters. You are also no longer allowed to earn the commissioner's
arrowhead or knot. The only knot you are allowed to work for now is
the scouter training award.
The head roundtable person is still considered a commissioner,
apparently. Only the staff is out the door. From what our RT
commissioner told us, national has been trying this on a trial basis
in some council in the west (unnamed) and decided to go national with
it. Look for it in Scouting magazine soon, I guess.
Does anyone else on this list know anything more definite about this?
