Your local Council has had the ability to send email to key National
offices for the past couple of years; within the National office,
there is also a small LAN which carries posts and files from one
office to another. What I was trying to convey here, is that there's
PRESENTLY not a way to access the BSA from OUTSIDE the small net that
has been slowly being built. The BSA has an Internet address, but it
won't allow you to even send email to it.
Snail mail (USPS mail) remains the path in which National BSA wants
its volunteers and most professionals to reach them. This IS
changing, as many of the "old guard" are either leaving or realizing
the power, influnce and information flow of this "new technology".
