LDS differences (Cubs)

One difference that I can attest to in LDS Cub Scout Packs in our area
is that the Pack afiliated with the local LDS church (ward? stake?)
starts their Cub Scouts with third grade boys. I have had two families
register their boys with my Pack as first or second graders and tell me
that they would only be with my Pack until their child reached third
grade, then they would transfer to the LDS Pack.
Our district roundtable meetings are held at this LDS church, and they
are very supportive of Scouting in the area. They did tell us that we
could not serve any beverages that contained caffiene, nor was smoking
allowed anywhere on the church property, including the parking lot.
