In our pack, I present the 2nd Year Webelos with a special Indian
headress neckerchief slide. I tell the boys that they are now the
oldest members of the pack, they will have more responsibility for
helping the pack go (they assist at Pack Meetings), and they are now
role models for the younger boys. The headress is a symbol of
responsiblity and leadership.
The boys really cherrish these slides and it gives them some
recognition during cross-over time when the rest of the boys are
receiving their new neckerchiefs.
